You could call me the father of the Quick Detach Saddlebag System. In 1998, two partners and I developed and patented the first detachable saddlebag system, Bag Eez. Bag Eez soon became Ghost Brackets. In 2002, the partnership was dissolved and I went in search of a better system. Believe it or not, Easy Brackets came to me in a dream. I woke up at about 3am, got up, made some notes in my day planner, and went back to bed. The next morning, I wondered if it had been real so I went to my day planner and there it was – Easy Brackets. I went to a very successful friend and asked him if he thought I should go through with this. He advised me to always provide a quality product and excellent customer service and I would be fine. I took his advice and in 2002, I founded Great Bike Gear with Easy Brackets as our primary product. Through the years, we have seen the competition come and go. I like to think it is because we have always established ourselves as the standard in quality, are made in the USA, and maintain a level of great customer service. The journey has been exciting and I have met some wonderful people along the way. I do have to admit I never anticipated I would end my career knowing all there is to know about the ass end of every cruiser on the market- go figure!
